Project Summary
In this project, an ion measurement system has been developed for rapid and reliable quantification and control of nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) and potassium (K) macro elements in hydroponic systems. The monitoring of N, P, K macro nutrients, which have important functions in plant growth and development in hydroponic environment, is of great importance in terms of yield, and the project enabled real-time concentration adjustment of these ions. A computer controlled analytical measuring device has been developed for precise measurement of N, P, K ions in hydroponic tomato growing systems. The ion selective electrodes (ISE) were used to measure N and K ions, and the UV-Vis spectrophotometer was used to measure P ions. The project aims to increase the quality of hydroponic farming.
