The Building Thermal Comfort Research Laboratory located in MITEC is a laboratory where simulation studies on thermal energy technologies, one of the strategic areas of study of the company, are carried out. The focus of the laboratory is the test chamber. The test chamber consists of an inner space and four different outer spaces in which the environmental conditions are simulated. Regional climatic conditions can be achieved by setting the desired temperature, humidity and wind speed values in the outer spaces that can be conditioned under control. These outer spaces are in four parts: north and west part, east and south part, under part and upper part of the room. In these four different ambient spaces, the temperature can be precisely controlled in the range of -15 to + 45 °C, relative humidity in the range of 10% to 90%, and wind speed in the range of 0 to 5 m/s. The heat transfer coefficient of the wall elements of the test chamber was selected to correspond to the U value of an average building. When determining this value, heat transfer coefficients have been selected considering the heat transfer coefficients of the heating zones in Turkey according to Standard TS 825.
Our team of engineers and basic scientists, each of whom is specialized in their fields, offers the following infrastructure and testing services to industrial organizations from different sectors as well as our researches within the company.
